Global Entrepreneurship Week has kicked off in Belarus on 12 November. The centerpiece of the event is the country's first exhibition-forum of innovative companies and startups that is taking place at the BelExpo exhibition center. The goal of the forum is to bring together entrepreneurs and government officials who will be able to share best practices, outline development strategies, forge new contacts and get new experience. The Belbiz Battle startup competition 2018 will be held on 13 November with support of the British Embassy in Belarus. The program of the forum also features an event for children and teenagers – the AdVenture business conference.

A series of events in line with the Global Entrepreneurship Week started at the National Business Centre in the Knowledge Oasis Muscat on Sunday. The inauguration event featured success stories of a Kuwaiti and Omani entrepreneurs in addition to an accompanying small and medium enterprises (SMEs) exhibition. During GEW 2018 Oman, an event called Reyooq will be held to highlight employment challenges. These kind of events offer a platform for interactive discussions and exchange of views on major sectors in the Sultanate and thus encourage entrepreneurs to start businesses in these sectors.
