John Wali serves as the CEO for Junior Achievement (JA) Kenya and he is the Country Lead for the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Kenya which is the co-host Organization of the Global Entrepreneurship Week. JA Kenya is the Country’s largest Organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing youth to own their economic success. JA Kenya works in partnership with the Government and the private sector to equip more than 20,000 youth every year with skills on entrepreneurship and financial literacy so that they can be successful in work and life as the Country pursues Vision 2030 towards industrialization and becoming a middle income Economy. John has extensive experience in working with start-ups and social enterprises and nurturing them to go to market. Mr. Wali serves in various Boards such as; Kenya Private Sector Association - Youth Sector Board & Industrialization and Enterprise Development Board, Youth Agenda Kenya and the National Advisory Committee of the ILO. John is an Acumen Fellow and a Commonwealth Scholar who holds an MBA (Strategic Management), BA (Economics) and an Alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Penn State University Leadership Programs.
