Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 at Tahri Mohamed University – Béchar

Under the leadership of Professor Boujemaa Bezzazi, Rector of Tahri Mohamed University, our institution proudly hosted the Global Entrepreneurship Week from November 17 to 23, 2025.

This initiative aimed to foster an entrepreneurial mindset and strengthen collaboration between academia and key economic actors—including banks, support agencies, and innovation hubs—through a rich program of workshops, lectures, and exhibitions.

The official opening was led by Mr. Ahmed Ben Youssef, Wali of Béchar Province, in the presence of economic stakeholders, social partners, and local authorities.

Mr. Chafaa Belaid Abdelghani, Director of the Provincial Employment Branch, emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in addressing employment challenges and encouraged students to embrace innovation and initiative.

The academic program featured valuable lectures from university faculty, including a keynote by Professor Aïcha Bekaddour titled:
“Entrepreneurship and Its Role in Building a Sustainable Economy,”
highlighting the strategic role of startups in driving long-term development.

The event also welcomed:

  • Mr. Ahmed Mahmoud Seddiqi, Director of ANADE, who discussed financing and support mechanisms for micro-project holders.
  • Mr. Djamel Eddine Mouissi, Director of ANGEM, who presented the agency’s mission and funding models for micro-enterprises.

This week-long celebration created meaningful dialogue between students, entrepreneurs, and institutional leaders—laying the groundwork for a more innovative and inclusive economic future.
