Entrepreneurial Skills Training Day: Strategic Thinking for Innovation

On Thursday, 27 November 2025, the Doctoral Schools of the University of Setif 1 – Ferhat Abbas hosted a specialized entrepreneurial training day. The event brought together Vice-Rectors, Interface Directors, the Director of the Institute of Architecture and Earth Sciences, members of the Central Quality Cell, and representatives of the local cells across faculties and institutes.

In a key session, Professor Farouk Benali delivered an applied workshop on the SWOT strategic diagnostic methodology, demonstrating how to analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. This framework is essential for building robust entrepreneurial projects, designing innovative solutions, and making informed strategic decisions.

By integrating strategic thinking tools into doctoral training, the university reinforces its commitment to cultivating a strong entrepreneurial mindset, encouraging innovation, and preparing its community to contribute meaningfully to Algeria’s emerging startup ecosystem.
