Lecture: Global and Local Opportunities in Entrepreneurship – How Do We Shape the Future of Innovation Today? Presented by Dr. Imen GOUAL ZOUAOUI
As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025, the University Center of Illizi hosted an enriching virtual lecture titled:
“Global and Local Opportunities in Entrepreneurship: How Do We Shape the Future of Innovation Today?”
delivered by Dr. Imen Goual Zouaoui from the University of Sidi Bel Abbès, a specialist in innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
The lecture addressed the changing landscape of global entrepreneurship and how students can engage with both global trends and local opportunities. Key discussion points included:
- How the world is shifting toward innovation-driven economies
- Global opportunities accessible to Algerian students
- Local opportunities within universities and regional economies, especially in southern Algeria
- The role of university incubators in turning potential into real startups
- Essential skills for today’s entrepreneurs
- Inspiring local initiatives that expanded beyond regional boundaries
The session also included interactive discussions, where Dr. Goual offered practical advice on leveraging available resources to start building sustainable entrepreneurial projects.
This lecture was a significant contribution to the Global Entrepreneurship Week program and inspired students to envision new pathways for innovation.
