On Inspection of Entrepreneurs' Activities

SUPPORT MECHANISM:

To increase the level of entrepreneurial activity by cutting the number of inspections of businesses by state bodies and cutting the number of state inspection agencies.

The law consists of 6 parts and 46 articles. It regulates the framework for: conducting inspections, reducing the number of inspection authorities, the procedures the inspection agencies should follow and the rights and obligations of entrepreneurs in dealing with the inspection.

IMPLEMENTING AGENCIES:

- State Committee on Investment and State Property Management (Goskominvest)

- Secretariat of the Consultative Council on Improvement of the Investment Climate under the President

- The IFC

ELIGIBILITY:

Start-ups are newly-opened firms and scale-ups are small firms that are looking to increase and expand their activities.

Timeline:

Law No 1269 is developed "On Inspection of Entrpreneurs' Activities" on December 25, 2015

Law introduced on July 1, 2016

Roundtable to discuss law held in December, 2016.

MONITORING + EVALUATION METHODS

There are no specific numeric goals that we know as of now. However, the goals are to:

Reduce the number of inspections of businesses by state bodies

Reduce the number of state inspection bodies
