The 12th Global Entrepreneurship Week (SGE) was officially started this Monday (18/11).
Slogan in Brazil is "To be an entrepreneur is to live the future today". Specific themes are Entrepreneurial Education, Innovation and Freedom for entrepreneurs (environment).
At the opening ceremony, President of Sebrae, Carlos Melles stressed the importance of bringing entrepreneurship to schools at all levels of education. "We need to awaken the spirit of entrepreneurship in people, especially young people," said Melles.
The ceremony was held at Sebrae National Headquarters, attended by hundreds of people, including authorities, entrepreneurs and students.
Entrepreneurs from various areas talked about their experiences. Among them, the winner of the Brazilian stage of the Entrepreneurship World Cup - EWC2019, Laura Ribeiro, from Eu ensino, dedicated to the training of teachers of public formal education and the social entrepreneur in the area of robotics Guilhermina Abreu, co-manager and founder of Minas Ambassadors.
On 19/11, the Federal Senate held a solemn session to commemorate the holding of the Global Week. Legal advances in favoring the business environment, innovation and access to credit in the country were highlighted in statements by government officials, Congressmen and private sector representatives.
“This year we decided to develop a new approach: to monitor the advances in expanding entrepreneurial education, innovation and business environment throughout the year until the next edition of SGE,” explained Sebrae Technical Director Bruno Quick. .
The Board of SGE Brazil is composed of Sebrae (host institution), the Entrepreneurial Alliance, Angels of Brazil, Anprotec, Artemisia, Junior Brazil, CONAJE, Endeavor and Junior Achievement;
