Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020 Brazil Focuses on Recovery of Economy + Role of Entrepreneurship

The Global Entrepreneurship Week 202 Brazil was officially opened on 11/16. The program focuses on business recovery issues during the coronavirus pandemic. The president of Sebrae, Carlos Melles thanked all participants and stressed the importance of micro and small businesses in the resumption of the country's growth.

“We have a program rich in debates and topics that are on the rise and are of interest to entrepreneurs. We are going to reach the whole of Brazil with a spark of hope that growth will resume. The demand for Sebrae courses has grown a lot, there is a thirst for knowledge in people ”.

GEN President Jonathan Ortmams sent a message and stated that “as we embark on this mission to rebuild our economy, we can be open to the world”

Lectures with renowned entrepreneurs discussed topics related to the crisis and the need to digitize business. Arnobio Morelix, a former student at Sebrae, Director of Startup Genome and winner of the Oscar for Entrepreneurship spoke about “The new economy and opportunities for entrepreneurs”. Don Peppers, a world renowned figure on customer experience, exposed his lessons in overcoming the crisis with a focus on the experience offered to the consumer. Nina Silva, IT executive and founder of the Black Money Movement, gave a lecture on “Digital transformation of small businesses and the power of networks”. Finally, Saras Sarasvathy, a personality known worldwide for the theory of Effectuation, closed the morning's agenda by explaining how to get an idea out of the role through “acting and asking”.
