Global Entrepreneurship Week Chad, Aims to unleash creartivity and Export Chadian Ecosystem.
Under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic of Chad, His Excellency Idriss Deby Itno, Chad is launching the second edition of World Entrepreneurship Week, in the city of N'Djamena. With the theme "Entrepreneurship for sustainable socio-economic transformation", and will be held from 12 to 18 November 2018 at the Palais du 15 Janvier. A very promising subject for the realization of your projects as well as the conception of your ideas. The SME is a series of free events for a week and accessible to all. To this end, all companies and young entrepreneurs are invited to participate. This week is set to encourage and motivate any person or company wanting to innovate. The 2018 edition will highlight three main articulations including:
- exponential thinking: which allows to develop
- the culture of innovation: creating an ideal environment for society
- zero barriers: addressing the obstacles facing each Entrepreneur
It is our intention to focus on the diversity of Chad's entrepreneurial ecosystem and to help make connections between companies and talented people that can help create mutually beneficial, sustainable and profitable relationships.
To achieve this goal, several activities will be carried out simultaneously and some, in a successive way to reach thousands of young Chadians from all social strata. In concrete terms, the activities will be as follows:
- Global Startup Weekend: A contest that brings together hundreds of young people for a week around the ideas of companies emitted by them, reflected and directed with the help of assigned coaches and mentors. These ideas will be presented to a jury composed of confirmed investors and entrepreneurs; November 9 to 11, 2018
- Entrepreneurs Days: They consist of the development of several themes related to entrepreneurship issues in Chad in order to strengthen the managerial skills of young entrepreneurs; November 13 to 14, 2018
- Agrobusiness Festival Chad: An exhibition and events related to the celebration of Chad's agricultural potential and the boon of the country's social and economic development through agriculture, from 14 to 15 November 2018. This festival is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Production, Irrigation and Agricultural Equipment.
- Startup Nations Policy Hack: a unique opportunity for public and private actors in Chad's entrepreneurial ecosystem to tackle the urgent regulatory policy challenges they face: November 15, 2018
- Startups and Investments Forum: This forum is designed to promote investment opportunities in Chadian startups; from 16th to 17th November 2018
- Entrepreneurs Night: This is an unprecedented event for a cultural event focused on entrepreneurship. It will be an opportunity to raise funds for the launch of the Young Entrepreneurs Support Fund: November 17, 2018
- N'Djamena Hackathon: This activity contributes to the emergence and growth of startups in Chad by creating a stimulating framework for innovation. November 27 to 29, 2018, It is also organized jointly on the sidelines of November Digital 2018 and in Partnership with the French Institute of Chad, sponsored by the Ministry of Posts, New Technologies of Information and Communication.
Given the need to realize the potential of these activities and the achievement of objectives, the Head of State, His Excellency Idriss Deby Itno agreed to put this initiative under his Patronage.
This week is an opportunity to highlight the government's efforts in youth entrepreneurship and reducing unemployment.
The Organizing Committee is therefore on the way to make this week a success and this can only happen through the involvement of all.
