The Entrepreneurs' Night organized on 17 November has brought together in one place and in a festive atmosphere budding entrepreneurs, pioneers, actors of economic change in Chad and great men in the business world. The goal was to strengthen the networking initiated throughout the GEW.

The evening was an opportunity to praise the young entrepreneurs who participated and won the competition before and during the World Entrepreneurship Week in Chad. These prizes will serve as recognition for the entrepreneurial utility of the winners' actions and will encourage and congratulate young entrepreneurs to continue their work.

A special prize was awarded for the First Lady as recognition and thanks by the young entrepreneurs.

The various challenges were particularly won by young project holders already implemented or projects in the beginning phase. In fact, three projects were awarded in the Global startup weekend category. In particular, mention is made of the project of the Carpentry-Wood Training Center, the project of the prenatal Consultation Monitoring System, post-natal and also the Tomatoes Transformation and Preservation Project, Tamatinma.

The prize for the Future agro challenge was won by the project Nutrir Internationhal, promoted by Hal Souakar Ambera. The price of the startups investment forum was ripped off by Youssouf Abdramane, promoter of the paver’s factory project using plastics.

The grand prize for entrepreneurship of the year 2018 is won by Zamzam and Falmata Hassane Aware both young entrepreneurs in the field of digital and health, co-founder of the Sahitna Platform. The latter will receive a six-month support and an all-expenses-paid trip to an African incubator.

For the Minister of Vocational Training and small trades, Madjidian Padja Ruth, representing the First Lady of Chad, H.E. Hinda Deby Itno, godmother of the evening, the youth dared and she succeeded. Later, she added that the destiny of young people is in the youth. "Undertaking is the best thing that youth can do. You did it, "says the latter. It is for her to reassure young people that her department will spare no effort to support the work and promote entrepreneurship.

GEW Chairman Routouang Mohamed Ndonga Christian, speaking after Track Captain Outhman Abdelrahman Hamdane, launches a lively call to the public to help young entrepreneurs. Because, for him, without an accompaniment, so much screaming entrepreneurship will not be effective.

Should we also remember that the main expectation of this event is the realization of the promises made to young entrepreneurs by mobilizing the financial, human and material resources needed to implement their project ideas or to boost their businesses . Specifically this event resulted in:

  • Mobilize around 400 participants: artists, actors, business promoters, bankers, representatives of non-governmental organizations and especially young entrepreneurs;
  • Collect about 4 million FCFA in cash and pledge;
  • Guarantee direct access to 6 first entrepreneurs to finance their projects

The night was enhanced by the presentation of a success story documentary of young entrepreneurs, stories and performances by young Chadian artists with national and international talents.
