Thanks for starting the process to bring Startup Huddle to your city! We aim to create a quality experience for community members, presenters, and organizers through clear guidelines and lessons learned. This channel will serve as a communication tool to help you connect and engage with other organizers. In addition to this channel, the team at GEN HQ is here to help. Please don’t hesitate to start a conversation thread to get the broader community involved.
Global Community & Content Policy
If you aren’t already aware you are about to join the largest group of community leaders in the world. Organizing can be an extremely rewarding experience and lead to some amazing opportunities if you plan correctly. This channel is meant to help you along the way. Make sure to engage through it, to discuss, connect, and share in an open environment. The nature of this content might be funny, serious, offensive, or anywhere in between. While participating, it’s important to keep in mind this value above all others: show enough respect to others so that we all may continue to enjoy the channel for what it is.
We have a variety of ways of enforcing our rules, including, but not limited to
- Asking you nicely to knock it off
- Asking you less nicely
- Temporary or permanent suspension of channel access
- Removal of content
How To Use This Channel
This channel is designed to be a communication resource for helping organizers connect and engage with other Startup Huddle organizers. From high-level to nitty-gritty details, you can all share your experiences into an easily-digestible and accessible resource. The bulk of this channel, however, is broken down across threads based on topic. We suggest new organizers skim through each thread, then dive into each conversation in detail as you tackle the topic. Don’t forget to check out all the additional resources we have provided on the Google Drive.
This Channel is Ever-Evolving
While we have kept the information general enough so that it applies across many regions, many resources/suggestions may only be relevant in certain contexts. Currently, most of the channel and downloadable content is in English-only, although we hope to have it translated in multiple languages soon. Ultimately, in the spirit of lean methodology, this channel is a work in progress. If you have questions, please reach out to your regional rep, as they will have extensive information from past events.
