The meeting brought together multitudes of regional stakeholders in Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples State who are directly or indirectly involved in enterprises development in order to foster integration among stakeholders and to create conducive environment for entrepreneurs operating in the region.
The meeting was held on 17 November 2017 and gathered representatives from 20 institutions from government agencies, private sector and nongovernmental organizations. Some of the institutions include Omo microfinance institution, Debub capital goods financing, Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) – Ethiopia, Regional Job Creations and Food Security Agency, Hawassa university, Regional Technical Vocational and Education and Training Agency.
Different ideas ranging from challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurs in the region to how to work in synergy to better address the challenges facing entrepreneurs in the region were discussed. The participants agreed to conduct similar engagement in the future.
