As we intensify our efforts to strengthen Ghana’s entrepreneurship ecosystem to drive job creation and economic growth, Global Entrepreneurship Network-Ghana ( host of GEW - Ghana ) will lead Ghana to join over 150 countries to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), the world’s largest celebration and promotion of Entrepreneurship ,that unleashinnovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.

GEW-Ghana will connect entrepreneurs, students, educators, aspiring entrepreneurs, NGOs, non-profit organisations, development agencies, government officials, etc. to participate in a range of activities which will be conducted by partner organizations to harness the spirit of entrepreneurship culture in Ghana.

From 14th-20th Nov, 2016 over 20, 000 partner organization are planning more than 30, 000 entrepreneurial activities that directly engage more than 7 million people worldwide”

Slated national signature events will be:

National Dialogue on Entrepreneurship Development 14th Nov.2016: 

National Dialogue on Entrepreneurship will bring together policy movers , entreprenurs , aspiring entreprenurs ,  private sector leaders ,entreprensurship ecosytem actors ,  the Academia, the civil society and the international development agencies in Ghana to dialogue on issues and solution to advance the development of entrepreneurship in Ghana. 

The conversation will dive into, entrepreneurship education, fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem , Mentoring , financing for  startups, skills  and support for entrepreneurs  etc  

 Entrepreneurs 2 Schools 15-18th Nov.2016: 

The event will bring identified social entrepreneurs from various industries into schools across the country to inspire, coach and mentor young people on the need to start their entrepreneurial activities from school. The identified entrepreneurs will share their social entrepreneurial journey and experiences with students on how they started, the mistakes they made, how they identified their social mandate, challenges they faced and how they dealt with those challenges in starting and growing their enterprises. 

Entrepreneurs Walk for Peace 19th Nov 2016: 

GEW 2016 will partner with Joy FM Drive Time to host a walk up the Aburi Mountain with entrepreneurs. #GEWWalkWithLexis will bring together some 500 (social) entrepreneurs to exercise to get fit, network and socialize. The walk will be promoted on the Drive Time on Joy FM by the host to mobilize participants as well as raise awareness about social entrepreneurship in Ghana and promote peace as Ghana goes to the polls on the 7th December 

Global Entrepreneurship Network –Ghana invites Government Organizations, Non-profit Organizations, Private sector companies, Business Associations, senior and junior Schools,tertiary institutions, Youth Organisations, media organisations , religious organizations and entrepreneurship development organisations  to get involved  by signing  up to become an official partner of Global Entrepreneurship week -Ghana. As a partner, all you need to do is to organize at least one activity around entrepreneurship or alien your upcoming entrepreneurial activity as part of GEW –Ghana celebration. It does not cost any fee to become a partner of Global Entrepreneurship Week.  Your activity can be big or small, a workshop or seminar, competition, debates, Tv and radio discussions on various aspect of entrepreneurship  etc. It is only limited by your imagination! Register your event at so your event can be officially part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
