The Monday of Global Entrepreneurship Week / Bermuda has been announced as eMonday – a day designed to promote e-commerce and highlight the role that technology plays in entrepreneurship.

Michael Scott, the Bermudan Minister of Energy, Telecommunications and E-commerce, officially announced the public-private partnership last week. Consumers joining the initiative on the 15th of November will be offered a range of discounts and special offers from participating online ‘e-tailers’.

All sellers who can accommodate online payments and offer a discount as part of the scheme are eligible. Participating businesses also have the chance to win prizes including a free website and the use of an e-consulting firm.

Registration and an overview of the offers available to participants are available directly from the eMonday site.
