On November 16th, 2018, GEN Cambodia and Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC) celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week by hosting a public event to university students and local entrepreneurs of about 600 people in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The event was officiated by H.E.Dr. Kan Channmeta, Secretariat of State of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication and H.E. Tea Seiha, Siem Reap Deputy Provincial Governor (representing H.E. Dr. Khim Bunsong, Siem Reap Provincial Governor). The topic was 'Women and Youth Economy and Digital Economy' which included 2 panel discussions and a presentation on Siem Reap's Investment Guide by Mr. Sim Chankiriroth, Founder of Banhji and also Board Member of YEAC and GEN Cambodia.
In 11 years, this is the first time that GEW was hosted in Siem Reap province other than in the capital city - Phnom Penh. This celebration has been a flagship event by YEAC and GEN Cambodia where entrepreneurs and representatives from related ministries, development partners, and business associations come together to share entrepreneurs supports and spirits with local youth to raise awareness and inspire them in their career's aspirations.
