The third annnual African Angel Investor Summit 2016 is a featured event of Global Entrepreneurship Week and GEW Investors, and will be held November 17 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, Nigeria. This one-day event is exclusively for investors and thought-leaders in the early stage investing space. The event will bring together investors from across the African continent and other parts of the world to exchange best practices, debate pressing issues, share lessons learnt and set the road map for angel investing in the future.

Registration is now open for the  African Angel Investor Summit. Entrepreneurs are welcome to attend one of the partner events listed below. Seating is limited, so please secure your seat now by registering here. Come to AAIS 2016 if you want to be part of part of the conversation and set the roadmap for the future. Expect honest conversations confronting real challenges. You can also follow the conversations via Twitter, using #AAIS2016.

“Growing Africa’s Angel investing community is a critical component to scaling up the number of African start-ups successfully becoming global businesses. AAIS 2016 is a crucial gathering for experienced and new investors to hold prescient conversations, sharpen their investing skills, and build the relationships needed for successful co-investment,” said Tomi Davies, president of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN)

The Summit will provide an unprecedented forum to network with pre-eminent opinion leaders in the African early stage investment space. It is a unique opportunity to solve African Angel investing challenges and access the latest investment methods - from sourcing deals and valuations through to exits.

The theme for AAIS 2016 is pertinent to the times, “co-investing, making it work together.”

With Nigeria officially in a recession and most major African economies suffering from low commodity prices, working together is seen as one of the only ways to unlock capital and maximize Africa’s entrepreneurial potential.

The 2016 Summit will be centered around how different players in the ecosystem can and should cooperate - Angels, venture capitalists, government, diaspora, academia, crowdfunders, professional services, corporates, incubators, accelerators and others.

More than 40 speakers and panel experts will join seven panels and six keynote sessions. For more info on the program and to see all of the speakers, please see: http://www.aais2016.com.
