The Barter Challenge

GEW is inviting entrepreneurs worldwide to participate in the Global Barter Challenge. Innovators and problem solvers everywhere can offer their skills and resources to each other for mutual gain. Leverage skill sets, subject matter expertise, and competitive advantages as a bartering tool to pay forward and promote principles of bootstrapping to stretch budgets and still get what you need to keep your business moving forward. The GEN Accelerates Platform includes infrastructure to promote connections between entrepreneurs and facilitate bartering activity that transcends borders and is accessible to all participants. What can YOU offer to help another entrepreneur? Give big!

In the spirit of embodying what it means to be global citizens, during Global Entrepreneurship Week, we encourage entrepreneurs everywhere to be a part of this groundbreaking initiative. While you explore the cornucopia of bartering opportunities available within the GEN Accelerates Platform participate in open discussions or discover past workshops that can help you scale up your business.

How Does it Work?

During the week of October 26 and beyond, entrepreneurs skills will be featured within the GEN Accelerates Platform where each user can display their bartering opportunities while searching for other opportunities to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs. Participants will be able to search this repository by key word in order to find their ideal match. This curated marketplace will feature entrepreneurs from across the globe all committed to removing barriers and welcoming partnerships. When you are not busy bartering or exchanging ideas on how to impact lives you can visit the GEN Accelerates Content Library where you have access to content spanning every entrepreneurial topic imaginable for your market. In addition to this, you can find templates, best practices and articles to help you position business in the most competitive way possible.

Why Register for the Barter Challenge?

This is your opportunity to contribute and plug into a global marketplace of entrepreneurs exchanging skills, services, best practices and ideas at no monetary cost. About Global Entrepreneurship Week

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a collection of tens of thousands of activities, competitions and events in 170+ countries each November aimed at making it easier for anyone, anywhere to start and scale a company.

Founded in 2008, GEW inspires millions each year to explore their potential while fostering connections and increasing collaboration within their ecosystems to empower entrepreneurs and strengthen communities.

In the United States alone, there are 2,500 partner organizations that conduct about 5,000 activities across all 50 states.

Diversity is a driver of innovation and economies suffer if a group of people are underrepresented or face structural barriers. Global Entrepreneurship Week reaches beyond traditional startup hubs like Silicon Valley, New York and Boston - envisioning one entrepreneurial ecosystem open to all, including smaller cities and towns and previously marginalized communities.

There are four themes for GEW 2020: Ecosystems, Education, Inclusion and Policy.
