The Global Entrepreneurship Network and its 'compass' logo powers a number of initiatives to help founders start and scale in more than 170 countries. Compass Points provides a quick glimpse at some of the things that are emerging from the network. Below are just a few recent points emerging from our 170+ countries:

  • 22 On Sloane “Startup Campus” to Launch in Joburg
    Disrupt Africa // South Africa, Africa 
    22 On Sloane, a startup campus and subsidiary of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, is set to open next month during the South African chapter of Global Entrepreneurship Week. The campus hopes to provide a communal space for members to take advantage of industry opportunities and to have access to mentors, other entrepreneurs, investors and individuals from around the globe.
  • Top Speaker David Meltzer Confirmed for Global Entrepreneurship Week Curacao 2017
    Curacao Chronicle // Willemstad, Curacao 
    David Meltzer, co-Founder and CEO of Sports 1 Marketing, has been confirmed as GEW Curacao’s keynote speaker at the Official Grand Opening Ceremony for 2017. Meltzer will offer advice to thousands of local entrepreneurs as an experienced entrepreneur himself in the legal, technology, sports, and entertainment fields.  
  • Budding Entrepreneurs Can Compete for $1,000 at River Pitch Event
    Tuscaloosa News // Alabama, USA
    The River Pitch competition will be held next month as a part of the Tuscaloosa area’s Global Entrepreneurship Week. Competitors will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to win one of eight $1,000 prizes. All participants will also receive valuable feedback and have the opportunity to meet with entrepreneurship experts for further idea development.
  • Republic Bank Ready to Support Entrepreneurs
    Trinidad Guardian // Port of Spain, Trinidad + Tobago
    The Marketing Manager of Trinidad + Tobago’s Republic Bank, Damian Cooper, states that over the course of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the bank will be committed to having productive conversations with entrepreneurs to better understand how it can assist them and help them achieve their goals.
  • Creativity Vital for Business to Flourish
    The Star // Gros Islet, Saint Lucia 
    Representatives from different Saint Lucian companies came together last week to discuss their individual goals and agendas for the area’s Global Entrepreneurship Week. Topics of discussion included the promotion of creativity in business, leadership, and workshops that will end with potential funding opportunities for budding entrepreneurs.
