During Global Entrepreneurship Week last month, GEW global pick Talent Unleashed brought the six winners of its 2014 Talent Unleashed awards to the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship in Johannesburg, South Africa for an all-expense paid, four-day entrepreneurship and networking workshop.
Entrepreneurial ecosystems transcended borders as the Talent Unleashed winners had the opportunity to learn from their South African counterparts.
“One of the things that I found inspiring was seeing the entrepreneurs engaging with the South African entrepreneurs,” said Jane Rankin, CEO of The Branson Center of Entrepreneurship.
The trip was a unique opportunity for the six winners to learn in a new environment, discover new opportunities for mentorship and expand their understanding of entrepreneurship.
“It is a great networking opportunity, I learned a lot from Charles Maisel, one of the speakers we had about finding inspiration all around you,” said Amber Blumanis, creator of the Stopover App, winner of the Talent Unleashed Rising Star Award.
