The Catalan Department of Education will get involved in GEW Spain 2019

The catalan secondary education and vocational training centres that provides economics and entrepreneurship will celebrate the Global Entrepreneurship Week from November 18th to 24th.

 

From November 18th to 24th 2019, the Global Entrepreneurship Network will celebrate a new edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Week. They forecast a participation of more than 10 million people in over 170 countries. Autoocupació is the organization in charge of promoting the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Spain with the aim to connect and collaborate with entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers and others promoting entrepreneurship.

The Catalan Department of Education has agreed on participating at the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2019 publishing it on the Xarxa Telemàtica Educativa Catalana (XTEC)’s agenda. From November 18th to 24th, all the events organized by the secondary education and professional formation centers that join the initiative, will form part of the GEW world’s database. Among other activities, these centers will be able to offer entrepreneurial training sessions, invite entrepreneurs to class, or celebrate the entrepreneurship day.

This year, Global Entrepreneurship Week is celebrating four distinct themes: Education, Ecosystems, Inclusion and Policy.

 

On the Global Entrepreneurship Network

The Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) operates a platform of projects and programs in 170 countries aimed at making it easier for anyone, anywhere to start and scale a business.

By fostering deeper cross border collaboration and initiatives between entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers and entrepreneurial support organizations, GEN works to fuel healthier start and scale ecosystems that create more jobs, educate individuals, accelerate innovation and strengthen economic growth.

In Spain, the GEN is present under the name GEN Spain, driven by Autoocupació, a private non-profit organization. Its mission is to promote self-employment as an attractive alternative for exercising the vocations and the people’s professional development and facilitate them the access to the necessary resources to create and consolidate their businesses.
