Isabelle Chaquiriand is President of Xcala, the Latin American Angel Investment Association. In addition, she is Dean of the Business School at the Catholic University of Uruguay and Executive Director of ATMA, a leading company in the design, manufacture and distribution of packaging for industry and the home.
She has a Doctorate in Business Administration degree from Grenoble Ecole de Management, France; Master in Business Administration from IEEM-Business School; B.A. from the Universidad de la República, Uruguay.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Business Angels Network; she is a Senator for Uruguay at the Word Business Angel Forum.
She is founder of “Corazoncitos” (little hearts) Foundation, an organization that she chaired for 8 years and seeks to improve survival and treatment conditions for children with congenital heart disease. She is a columnist for various media and an international guest speaker on business development issues.
She was awarded in 2010 and 2011 as Manufacturing Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2016 she was recognized as Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young. She currently occupies the 22nd position among the 100 best business leaders in Uruguay according to the Merco Ranking.
