John Wali is an Acumen Fellow and a Commonwealth Scholar who serves as the Executive Director for Junior Achievement (JA) Kenya and Country Lead for the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Kenya which is the host of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).
JA Kenya is the Country’s largest Organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing youth to own their economic success. JA Kenya works in partnership with the Government and the private sector to equip youth with skills on entrepreneurship and financial literacy so that they can be successful in work and life as the Country pursues Vision 2030 towards industrialization and becoming a middle income Economy.
John has extensive experience in working with start-ups and social enterprises and nurturing them to go to market.
Mr. Wali serves in various Boards such as; Kenya Private Sector Association - Youth Sector Board & Industrialization and Enterprise Development Board, Youth Agenda Kenya and the National Advisory Committee of the ILO.
John holds an MBA (Strategic Management), BA (Economics) and a Leadership Alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Penn State University.
