Out of the 58.5 million entrepreneurs in India, nearly 14% are women. Indian women-owned businesses provide employment for 13.45 million people. GEN Women educates, supports and motivates women entrepreneurs all over India, through innovative business ideas, startup funding avenues, marketing support and mentor connects.
Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 was themed with “Women First, Prosperity for All”. Leading the US delegation, Ivanka Trump was focused upon supporting women entrepreneurs and fostering global economic growth at the summit.
With the initiative of NITI Aayog, The Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) was launched to promote and support aspiring as well as established women entrepreneurs in India, assist and handhold them in their journey from starting to scaling up and expanding their ventures. WEP is committed to support women leaders and provide them with a platform that facilitates various activities to ensure the growth of more women entrepreneurs.
