How the idea was born:
Georgia had always fascinated YEP members by virtue of its ancient culture situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, with pristine nature and a rich history. They saw that Georgia, as a fast advancing nation, was opportune to the spark of youth entrepreneurship. They proposed to the XXI Century School, via the Georgian diplomatic mission to the United States, that YEP would introduce the startup weekend tradition to the local high school students. The students from YEP, who have participated in and helped organize similar events in Portland, are traveling from Portland to Tbilisi to facilitate, learn from, and admire the entrepreneurial spirit to be fostered at Startup Weekend Tbilisi Youth.
