GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK 2016 CAMEROON

Activity Description

The GEW event in Cameroon will be organized by "Calabash of Africa Network" from the 17-18 November 2016 in Yaoundé, under the patronage of the Cameroon Chamber of commerce. The need for the development of the private sector in Cameroon cannot be overstated and even the government has been drumming for an
improved business climate which showed in the recently organized international investment conference in Yaoundé.

Specific objectives
To create a platform for entrepreneurs in Cameroon to share ideas and create networks.
To develop business models adapted to the Cameroon business ecosystem.
To give the opportunity to startups to network with potential investors in the B2B session to get micro financing to develop a prototype of their various ventures and to compete with the very best around the world in various international startup competitions organized every year.
To bring together experts in business development, policy makers, politicians, civil society organizations and other stake holders to brainstorm and come up with policy papers.
To motivate and train 400 young entrepreneurs on new methods and revolutionary ideas on entrepreneurship.
