R. Stanley Allen, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of SolAmerica Energy, an Atlanta-based solar developer and Engineering, Procurements & Construction firm will describe his firm, discuss the solar and renewable energy industries and his background as an entrepreneur. Stan is a successful entrepreneur and executive having founded or co-founded four companies and raised more than $300 million in private and public financing. Stan has been CEO of American Quality Cable, Applied Video Technologies and First Mile Communications, all companies focused on delivering building-centric technology solutions analogous to the distributed renewable energy market.
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Stan was a real estate consultant for Coopers & Lybrand and a real estate investment analyst for Wellington Management Company of Boston. Stan currently serves on the Board of the South Carolina Solar Business Alliance. Stan holds a BA and MBA from the University of Virginia.
