On November 18, Startup Huddle was launched the Сenter for Entrepreneurship in Veliky Novgorod, Russia as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
“Startup Huddle is being constantly expanded through other countries and we are glad to lead its expansion here throughout Russia,” said Denis Didkovsky, CEO of Center for Entrepreneurship. “Startup Huddle gives entrepreneurs an opportunity to give a 6-minute presentation and engage in 20 minutes of Q&A with a room full of their peers, mentors, service providers, potential investors and media representatives. In this way the entrepreneur gets recommendations, proven business solutions and new ideas from those who have already passed through a similar experience.”
The first Startup Huddle session was held in the live-work loft Tochka Kipeniya. Participants got the chance to review two startups:
- Michael Dolotov, CEO of Carat-Service, described the issues he had run into when he was scaling the business.
- Vladimir Fokin, Head of Plumar, provided his experience in new types of souvenirs research and its demand forecasting.
“Union of Entrepreneurs is running the Global Entrepreneurship Week, holding a lot of thematic events in Veliky Novgorod for years,” said Dmitry Koikov, Chairman of the Union of Entrepreneurs in the Novgorod region. “We are involved in development of business community in our region. Today we are pleased to launch the world highly-established Startup Huddle program."
Sessions with entrepreneurs and case studies review will be held on a monthly basis. Any head of small or medium-sized business may participate in program.
