This is a round-table discussion intended to examine what is necessary to create, support and maintain a healthy entrepreneurial ecosystem in under-served (emerging economies) communities. A portion of our conversation will focus on "Opportunity Zones" and how they can be leveraged to support an entrepreneurial ecosystem. The discussion will be informal, but framed and led by questions to allow for an organic conversation.
An entrepreneurial ecosystem referred to in this context is the social and economic environment that nurtures and supports entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation among residents. The assumption is that ecosystems can influence both internal and external factors, and these ecosystems can provide benefits, "ecosystem services", that people can tap into for their livelihood. It is also assumed that ecosystem management can be more efficient than trying to manage individuals.
