Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas and win cash prizes on November 16, 2020 when Communities Unlimited, Inc., presents “Entrepreneurs Unlimited: A Pitch Contest.”
The competition aims to find and assist people in starting their own business or expanding their business in Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas.
The winner of the pitch contest will receive $3,000 in cash for their business. The runner up will receive $2,000. There will also be a People’s Choice award of $1,000, where audience members can vote for their favorite business idea.
Participants located in the Communities Unlimited service area are eligible for 10 hours of free business assistance from a management consultant and consideration for a small business loan from Communities Unlimited. The first 50 participants will receive one domain name and website for one year from GoDaddy.
The “Entrepreneurs Unlimited” contest will take place online as a virtual competition. Contestants can register online at www.communitiesu.org/pitchcontest and submit a two-minute video pitching their business.
On November 16 at 5:30 p.m., contestant videos will be shown to a live audience including participants, their friends and family, and a panel of judges. The judges will have the opportunity to ask questions about the contestant’s business and then decide the top two winners. Audience members will be able to vote on their favorite for the People’s Choice award winner.
