Removing Barriers with Social Innovation Panel/Workshop

OVERVIEW

Businesses of all types and sizes that develop solutions to social, cultural, and environmental issues are critical in today’s complex world.  Attendees of this workshop will learn more about how their potential or existing business can change the community in which they live and how their business can do well while doing good (growing your business and your society).  Panel participants will discuss opportunities, challenges, and resources involved in social entrepreneurship. The workshop will feature social enterprises and non-profits with potential to incorporate University-wide focus on social justice, civil engagement and entrepreneurship funding avenues for social enterprises will be highlighted and discussed, while best practices and examples of successful social enterprises programs will be examined.
