Hikmat Abdurahmanov
Bio
Hikmat Abdurahmanov serves as a Chairman of the Association of International Business & Technologies in Uzbekistan(AMBiT), Chair of Public Council of Tashkent City, Co-founder of HUMO Partners. Also serves as Country director of Global Entrepreneurship Network in Uzbekistan.
Hikmat is a serial entrepreneur, co-founder of HUMO Partners group of companies with a total staff of 100 people, all involved in international business, including trade, finance, business tourism, logistics, advisory services, business education and own business center providing various b2b goods & services with an overall mission of serving as a bridge between local SMEs and the world. Geography of cooperation includes China, Turkey, EU, USA, Middle East, South East Asia offering industrial machinery and equipment to Uzbekistan and also establishing business connections among SMEs.
Among his recent socially important projects are: a media project Business Lab that popularizes entrepreneurship & chain of coworking spaces with four locations in Tashkent, that serve as incubation and startup platforms for young generation of entrepreneurs. Also Hikmat & his team organize annual entrepreneurship weeks under the umbrella of Global Entrepreneurship Network with the support of the government.
Hikmat is also an active member of several local & regional business communities, having worked, lived and educated in US, UK, China and Singapore he has vast experience to share, thus he is an in demand public speaker and opinion leader with a personal mission of nourishing a passion for entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan.
At city administration of Tashkent he helps to establish strategic vision through the project Tashkent 2025, on behalf of citizen & local business community he advocates for the formation of civil society and attractive business climate. Besides, he sits at several corporate boards as an independent director.
Hikmat holds both a BA (2001) and MA (2004) in International Economic Relations from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent, and a MA (2006) in International Business from School of Management at the University of St. Andrews (UK). 6 month executive education at Skolkovo school of management in Moscow and numerous trainings, fellowships are among his achievements: Uzbek-Japan Center PMP, Rumsfeld Fellowship, Central Eurasian Leadership Alliance (served as Chair), US International Visitors’ Leadership Program with Entrepreneurs Organization (IVLP/ EO), Managers Training Program in Germany, Israeli Mashav Fellowship, International Leadership Program under British Foreign Office, Austrian leadership program, Asian fellowship for good governance etc.
