I am unshakably dedicated to improving the traction and trajectory of entrepreneurship education across Mississippi. Why? I believe in a promising future for our state and in our ability to build it together. As the Director of the Center for Economic and Entrepreneurship Education at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM), I design and deliver professional development trainings on entrepreneurship, economics, and personal finance. These trainings have prepared and certified hundreds of K-12 educators who reach 30,000+ students/year. I also serve as a community organizer for Global Entrepreneurship Week (Hattiesburg, MS), co-teach Hacking for Defense (H4D, h4d.us) at USM, and lead a grassroots statewide youth program that introduces an additional 700+ high school students/year to lean startup methodologies.
