Malavika leads the research team to help Startup Genome's global partners develop evidence-based innovation policies and catalyze their regional startup ecosystems.
Previously, she worked at MaRS Discovery District, North America's largest urban innovation hub, leading research in the areas of inclusive innovation and the future of work. Malavika was responsible for the design and delivery of research projects that align with the objectives of the Innovation Economy stream. This included collaborating with other researchers and vendors, conducting and overseeing research, execution of projects and deliverables, and providing feedback and input on research-related initiatives.
Malavika has an Honours B.Sc in Economics from the University of Toronto, and has experience in analytics, product management, and data governance.
