Marcus Dejardin is professor of economics at the Université catholique de Louvain and the Université de Namur; currently, chairing the Development, Finance and Public Policies (DeFiPP) Research Institute of the Université de Namur. He has expertise in the economics of entrepreneurship and innovation, regional economics, and public policy analysis, and has developed an interest in multidisciplinary research design.
Marcus is director of the Chair of Excellence for Research and Expertise in Entrepreneurship (CHEREE) and of the CERPE, Université de Namur, and academic member of LIDAM-CIRTES-Université catholique de Louvain. He is founding editor of the New Economics Papers – Entrepreneurship Newsletter; editor of Small Business Economics: An Entrepreneurship Journal. He is also a member of the Central Economic Council and of the National Productivity Board; former Ameritech visiting scholar at the Institute for Development Strategies, SPEA, Indiana University Bloomington, and visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute of Economics, Jena. He was invited professor at the Universidad de Deusto, Université de Caen Normandie, Université Paris Nanterre, Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, and University of Pécs.
