Michael Akindele is an entrepreneurial product designer. As a consultant for companies like Bloomberg, Fannie Mae and USAID, he oversees the design and development of database-driven web products and mobile applications.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from the Volgneau School of Engineering, with a minor in Business Administration.
He began his career with Accenture and thereafter joined a team that developed, produced and distributed an 18-week reality show, The Apprentice: Africa, in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
He was also the Director of Experience Planning for a startup smartphone manufacturer and digital content provider, heading a team that offered 20 million songs and over 1,000 hours of video programming from Sony, Disney, Time-Warner and independent content producers.
Michael’s new company, JohnRhoda, is a community of designers, entrepreneurs, engineers and researchers. The company believes design can be utilized as a strategic management tool to create positive impact and is focused on providing exponential solutions to solve tomorrow’s challenges.
