5TH CELIK-BIZ AND 10TH BIGSTART COMPETITIONS

The Entrepreneurship Innovation Center (EIC), Ministry of Education, once again held the 5th Celik-Biz and the 10th BigStart Competitions, for the year 2023.

Opened to primary school students of Years 4 & 5 for Celik-Biz, as well as secondary school students of Years 9 & 10 for BigStart, student participants were accompanied by teachers to produce pragmatic ideas, pitching videos and prototypes based on the theme Entrepreneurship and Innovation through 5 sub-selection categories which are Innovation, Edutainment, Digitalisation, Agroducation, and Smart Experiment. A total of 326 students and 103 teachers from both school levels participated in these competitions which took place from June until November 2023. Currently, judging processes are ongoing. The convention will be held on 25th November 2023.

A total of 163 students and 62 primary school teachers were involved in the 5th Celik-Biz competition namely:

9. Sekolah Rendah Rimba III
10. Sekolah Rendah Pengiran Setia Negara Pengiran Mohamad Yusof
11. Sekolah Cemerlang Abejees
12. Sekolah Rendah Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah
13. Sekolah Seri Mulia Sarjana
14. Sekolah St. James
15. Ma'had Islam Brunei
16. Sekolah Arab Belait
17. Sekolah Persediaan Arab, Bandar Seri Begawan

For the secondary school level, a total of 163 students and 41 teachers were involved in the 10th BigStart competition, namely:
