Academic spinoffs in the time of Covid-19: The role of entrepreneurial education in socioeconomic recovery and growth

Academic spinoffs have remarkably strengthened the linkage between universities and industry. The number of technology patents and spinoffs coming out of university research and curriculums have a significant impact on economic and social developments worldwide. Hence, the event focuses on the relationship between education and entrepreneurial activity, considering the implications of Covid19.

International Balkan University is a private, foundation-owned, not-for-profit university with headquarters in Skopje, North Macedonia. It was founded in 2006 by the Foundation for Education and Culture "ÜSKÜP". Today, IBU is home to 8 faculties, 1 vocational school, and 1 English language school, including 21 bachelor's, 13 master's, and 3 doctoral degree programs in a variety of fields, such as engineering, architecture, economics, dentistry, health sciences, educational sciences, law, fine arts, communication, humanities, and social sciences.
