Argentina Startup & Talent Visa

The Argentina Startup & Talent Visa is a special visa program that allows foreign entrepreneurs, investors, and highly-skilled professionals to come to Argentina to develop their innovative projects and contribute to economic growth.
What are the main aims and objectives?
The program is aimed at fostering innovation by attracting fresh ideas and expertise from international entrepreneurs. Likewise, the Startup & Talent Visa is designed to attract investors, and highly-skilled professionals to Argentina to develop innovative projects and contribute to the country's economic growth. In particular the visa is designed to provide a streamlined and efficient process for obtaining residency and work permits, which can facilitate the integration of foreign entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals into the Argentine society and culture.
How does the program work?

Accepted applicants will receive benefits that make it "easier and faster" for foreign entrepreneurs and talent to start a business and work in the country:

  • Temporary residence: valid for three years and renewable (if business set-up is demonstrated), extended to immediate family members and startup employees.

  • Fast track procedure

  • Opportunity to access the Seed Fund program (up to 250.000 Argentine pesos approx $1,100).

  • Access to an existing network of Entrepreneur Clubs and Incubators across Argentinean cities which are ready to welcome international startups via co-working space, training sessions and more.

Applicants may also be required to demonstrate proficiency in Spanish and provide a criminal record check.

What is the overall cost?
The Argentinian government does not publish the exact cost of running the Start-up Visa Program. However, there are no major costs associated with visa schemes outside of the administrative costs of processing applications, conducting background checks and maintaining the program’s infrastructure. Indeed, it is highly likely that any costs that do exist will be outweighed by the economic benefits associated with the program.
