As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024, the Electrical Department at Daffodil Polytechnic Institute is hosting personalized one-on-one mentoring sessions for students to refine and develop their projects. These sessions will provide valuable insights into project development, idea generation, and problem-solving.

A key project showcased is the Automatic Street Light, led by 6th-semester student Ishtiaque Ahmed. This project aims to develop an energy-efficient street lighting system that automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn, or when ambient light conditions change. The system uses sensors to detect light levels, helping to conserve energy and reduce operational costs for urban lighting systems. The Automatic Street Light project promotes sustainability and smart city development by integrating automation and energy-saving technology into public infrastructure.
