"Oitijjer Haat: Celebrating Culture and Entrepreneurship"

Oitijjer Haat

The Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Daffodil International University is organizing Oitijjer Haat (Traditional Fair) on 18 November 2024 at Shadinota Sommelon Kendro. This year’s fair is held in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week in Bangladesh, underscoring the importance of entrepreneurship in fostering economic growth and innovation.

The primary objective of Oitijjer Haat is to create business opportunities from traditional Bangladeshi products. By promoting local goods and skills, the event empowers young entrepreneurs to recognize the market potential of their cultural heritage, contributing to regional economic growth and the preservation of traditional arts, crafts, and culinary practices.

Oitijjer Haat brings together students from all 64 districts of Bangladesh, who proudly exhibit their region’s traditional products, handicrafts, and culinary specialties. Under the slogan "Branding Bangladesh," the fair highlights the rich diversity of Bangladeshi culture, fostering a sense of national pride and unity.

Through hands-on experience in sales, marketing, and customer service, students gain insights into transforming their heritage into entrepreneurial ventures. Oitijjer Haat not only celebrates cultural heritage but also inspires students to explore entrepreneurship by turning local traditions into viable business opportunities. Join us in supporting the future entrepreneurs of Bangladesh as they celebrate and innovate!
