Pitching for Progress Seminar

The Pitching for Progress Seminar: From Problems to Solutions offers an exciting platform for students to explore the path of entrepreneurship and develop real solutions to some of Barbados’ most pressing challenges. Over the course of two engaging days—October 15th and October 17th—students will be immersed in discussions and activities that foster innovation, idea generation, and problem-solving skills. This seminar is designed to inspire entrepreneurial thinking in addressing critical societal issues, culminating in the Pitching for Progress Competition.

Understanding the Challenges Seminar  Day 1 

(October 15th, 10 AM – 2 PM):

Focus on understanding critical national issues such as health, agriculture, technology, environmental sustainability, and disability entrepreneurship. Experts will provide insights, setting the stage for idea generation on Day 2.

Idea Generation & Skill Building Seminar Day 2 

(October 17th, 10 AM – 2 PM):

Participants will dive into workshops on business idea development, proposal creation, marketing, branding, and pitching. By the end of the day, they'll be ready to take their ideas to the competition stage.
