BDF CAMPUS OUTREACH WITH TASS LTD

BDF Campus Outreach, is a program innitiated by TASS Ltd in partnership with BDF, aimed to foster entrepreneurship among university students in Rwanda.

The extending of BDF products to campuses and Universities in Rwanda, reaching students at their respective campuses by organizing workshops, meet them and train them on how to start their own business. 

IDENTIFYING CHALLENGES FOR THE YOUTH TO BECOME ENTREPRENEURS:

  1. Lack of working capital
  2. Lack of loan securities
  3. Lack of knowledge about the opportunities available for them like (BDF)
  4. Shortage of entrepreneurship skills.

BDF Campus outreach, will train students on Identifying opportunities by analyzing problems and find solutions by generating business Ideas as many as possible, after generating business ideas we will help them to design plan of implementing idea into action, after starting business there are several ways to sustain the business like Marketing the products and looking for customers.

To sustain business requires capital, students will be trained on ways of finding strategic capital, including business proposals, Business plan and rising collaterals, which also need to keep records on daily transactions, book keeping on credits to analyze the progress of the business.

Motivation is one of the key BDF Campus Outreach will be using to build the entrepreneurship spirit within students by inviting successful businessmen to motivate them, this will enable students to own their business after completing education, and it will reduce on number of graduates seeking for jobs and reduce unemployment in general.

 

OBJECTIVES OF BDF CAMPUS OUTREACH:

  1. To assist young graduates to form associations, and cooperatives in order to be able to raise capital.
  2. To educate young graduates about how BDF can assist them for additional securities.
  3. To encourage young graduates to pool their little resources together, like, plot of land, cash and others.
  4. To invite entrepreneurs with success stories to talk to youth/fresh graduates to motivate them.

 

Develop mechanism to enhance SMEs and other group of campus youth to get access to finance.

BDF campus outreach will Train and mentor youth in all campuses within Rwanda to have spirit to start their own business motivation and giving access to finance, this will boost entrepreneurship spirit for you in Rwandan, in order to meet Rwandan target of Transforming Private sector by increasing investment in priority sectors.
