Learning trajectory 'Well-being and health at and outside work'

The corona crisis has major consequences for the functioning and well-being of employees. That is why Voka is launching the 'Well-being and health at and next to work' learning trajectory within the Health Community. A brand new and exclusive high level learning trajectory for entrepreneurs who want to share knowledge and experiences with each other to tackle this challenge.

What?

  • Exclusive network in which business leaders can discuss strategic well-being policy in corona times with fellow business leaders and experts in an open, direct and discreet way.
  • The emphasis is on exchanging experiences , overcoming obstacles and obtaining additional tools and best practices to get started personally and in your own organization.
  • With a focus on strategy : how to deal strategically with corona, prevention, well-being, health problems, including absenteeism and disability and all the consequences for the employee and the company?
  • This learning trajectory is co-led by top experts such as Edelhart Kempeneers (Attentia), Elke Van Hoof (VUB), Lode Godderis (IDEWE), Marie-Noëlle Schmickler (Mensura) and Pascal Meyns (Randstad Group).

Target?

In this learning trajectory we aim for state-of-the-art knowledge transfer and mutual learning from and between companies , from the Netherlands and abroad (cases and best practices).

For whom?

  • For business leaders .
  • In the process, we also provide broad scope for the involvement of the HR manager of the organization and possibly other internal experts.

Why?

  • The corona crisis has major consequences for the functioning and well-being of employees within and therefore also for the well-being policy within a company.
  • There are direct effects: absenteeism, prevention and safety at work, how to deal with testing, contact tracing, travel risks, how to deal with layoffs and restructuring…
  • But also indirect consequences such as:
    • anxiety, insecurity and an increasing number of more serious psychological problems;
    • dealing with flexibility and work-life balance differently (lock down, working from home), how differently working together within such a context;
    • impact on the work organization within the company;
    • stress in the home situation (incl. among young people and the elderly) and shrinkage of the social network, with effects on well-being and work.
  • All this is in addition to the need for strategic support in the event of staff shortages, longer working hours, etc. There is therefore a need for additional support from companies at a strategic level, linked to, but also broader than, the corona crisis.
