BMC (Business Model Canvas) Boot Camp

The BMC boot camp is a two day camp, starting from 9 to 3 pm. It tackles the numerous issues that entrepreneurs face on a regular bases here in Algeria such as lack lack of funding, exposure to both national and international markets, clients and most importantly investors. The BMC also discusses potential solutions to such issues and what it means to be an entrepreneur in the digital age, in a 3rd world country.

Day one : 

The official inauguration of the event is at 9am. An Introduction to the work plan set by the event organizers, Metal Club members from the department of metallurgy and material engineering of Badji Mokhtar University, Annaba. An overview on the business model canvas is carried out by Metal Club animator, detailing the definition, history, different parts that compose the body of the canvas, the utility of each of their parts and the overall benefit of using the model for novel entrepreneurs. Following suit are presentations performed by speakers, ranging from different fields, with various expertise in their respective domains, each tackling a defining problem that coincidence with one or more part/s with the canvas, that entrepreneurs usually face in 3rd world countries. The 1st day is concluded with a debate followed by a Q&A session.

Day two : 

The fun begins now. 

An all encompassing workshop that covers various activities, starting with how to find your very own project idea, developing it using the Business Model Canvas, under the supervision of coaches (presenters and speakers from day one), and finishing off by pitching everything you've worked for during the day in a contest against either teams or individual. The final showdown comes down to presenting your project idea using the Model Canvas in front of a jury of selected panel of prominent project holders and entrepreneurs. Votes will be taken 70/30 to jury and audience, respectively.The winner/s will receive a symbolic prize acknowledging their efforts.
