Bootcamp Project Demo Day
The Bootcamp project is a collaboration between Jabatan Pendidikan Khas (Department of Special Education) and Pusat Keusahawanan Inovasi (Entrepreneurship Innovation Centre). It is a continuation of the Bootcamp project that has been implemented specifically for students with special needs who follow the Pre-Vocational Program in 2021. In addition, this project is intended to further expand the knowledge of Homeroom teachers (HRT) in the field of entrepreneurship, especially in producing quality products.
The first Bootcamp project involved 8 schools that were selected and participated by students selected by the Homeroom teachers themselves. The selection of previous schools is based on the reputation of each school according to criteria and other aspects such as planning, implementation, and according to the student’s skills.
In 2021, this project was implemented in a hybrid way when the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country. However, the process of manufacturing products and services has been well implemented by the HRT teachers and students with special needs who participated in this project. The results of the products through the first project are indeed very encouraging and of good quality, so this year, the participation for the second Bootcamp Project shows an increase of 13 government secondary schools. In addition, the preparation and implementation of this project can be carried out more successfully and have a more positive impact on the teachers and students concerned.
