Design Thinking Government Digital Services for Desirable User Experience

We are certain that you have heard of all the digital services that are being rolled out by the Ghana government and other agencies. These are apps and systems that users are encouraged, and in some cases required, to use. Recently we've had the following:

  • National ID card
  • Digital Addressing system
  • Registrar General Department's e-certificate system
  • Interoperability initiatives

It is commendable that public services are going digital but what about user experience? Why are there complaints and frustrations lodged by users? What if these apps and systems were created to go beyond their basic functions to actually delight users? This workshop/talk will focus on these issues and shed some light on the Why and How of great User Experience and role of Design Thinking in delivering such desirable experience.

This workshop is also for entrepreneurs looking for insights in developing new products and improving on their existing products for these new digital systems.
