Don't start looking, startup!

Don't start looking, startup!

Those who have scoured the grad job market of 2020 might have noticed certain parallels between that and the barren supermarket shelves of April this year. While wholemeal flour may provide a workable substitute in your favourite cookie recipe, it is unlikely to hold up so well as an alternative to a salary.

The Royal Academy of Engineering’s Enterprise Hub invites you to an afternoon of discussion where you might discover an avenue you are yet to explore. If you have the ambition, the attitude and the idea, the Launchpad programme might be the only thing you are still missing.

The Launchpad award helps budding entrepreneurs aged 18-25 start a business based on their engineering innovation. The awardee is equipped with the confidence, skills, experience and network of experts necessary to develop their innovation over a 12-month programme, receiving the JC Gammon award, £15,000 of equity-free seed funding and lifetime membership of the Enterprise Hub.

This event will hear from a panel of expert entrepreneurs, including previous winners of our Launchpad award, and others who have found success through unusual routes. They will discuss their personal journeys including the help that is out there, the challenges they overcame and how you too can stop searching and startup.
