Entrepreneurship Symposium & Marketing Expo ( University of Belize )

In celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, University of Belize in collaboration with ISLEx will be holding two events:

1. Entrepreneurship Symposium, Wednesday, 15^th November 2017, University of Belize-Belmopan, Jaguar Auditorium, starting at 1:30pm.

2. Marketing Expo, Thursday, 23rd November 2017, University of Belize-Belmopan open campus, 9:00am to 2:00pm.  This is a public event. 

Belize is one of the 170 members of the GEW Network and each year, the 3rd week of November, joins the rest of the world in celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week.  A time when member countries organize several activities to inspire individuals to explore their potential to become entrepreneurs.  The University of Belize (UB), Belize’ national university, therefore, sees it fit to join in such endeavor and promote young entrepreneurs by holding two major events in November of each academic year.

Focus of the events:

• To introduce the concept of entrepreneurship to students.
• To create a natural business environment young entrepreneurs (students) to showcase their entrepreneurial skills, and acquire practical sales experience.
• To provide an opportunity for members of the business community to offer promotions/sales on products/services.
• To provide an opportunity for other institutions to promote their services.
