Meet Xylexa, an Islamabad-based startup that’s developed an artificial intelligence-powered, cloud-based tool to help in the early detection of cancer from mammograms. Instead of a radiologist studying the X-ray with the naked eye and then giving his/her diagnostics, their algorithm identifies malignancy with more than 90% accuracy ratio than traditional radiology examinations which can positively impact roughly 42 million women yearly worldwide.

From clinical trials with hospitals to seeking regulatory approvals to global outreach, their journey has not been an easy one.
