The planning for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013 is well under way now that everyone has the extra inspiration from the Global Entrepreneurship Congress that was held in Rio (you can catch up on what you may have missed from the GEC on the GEW YouTube channel). A handful of countries have taken strides to grow their campaign from last year:

  • In Germany, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology has launched a “Start App” which helps entrepreneurs with useful information. GEW Germany is one of the highlighted programs helping entrepreneurs. The German campaign has been speaking about GEW at events throughout Germany over the last couple months like deGUT Berlin and Ignition Mainz. There was also a keynote presentation at the conference of the German Association of Innovation, Technlogy and Business Incubation Centres (ADT) that took place in Chemnitz.
  • The great partnership that GEW has with Silatech in Qatar has expanded and will soon include the local office of Silatech in Libya organizing the first ever campaign in Libya.
  • The GEW campaign in Saudi Arabia has received support from the Minister of Education who appointed a "GEW Coordination" unit whose responsibility is to ensure that all primary, middle and secondary schools have GEW relevant activities all across the countries public schools to breed entrepreneurial culture from a young age.
